Building Tomorrow’s Engineers: ATA’s Comprehensive Co-op Program
SAN DIEGO, Calif., September 26, 2024 – ATA Engineering believes that real-world experience is key to building a successful engineering career. That is why the company has developed a comprehensive co-op and internship program designed to provide students with the hands-on skills and practical knowledge needed to thrive in this industry. Through this program, aspiring engineers gain invaluable experience while forging lasting and impactful connections. You can learn more about ATA’s co-op program here.
One co-op success story is highlighted by Northeastern College of Engineering and their feature on Jonathan Gray, ATA employee-owner and recipient of the 2024 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. Mr. Gray is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and ATA Engineering project engineer pursuing a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Jonathan’s first co-op session at ATA was a pivotal step in shaping his career. Unlike many co-op programs, ATA offers extended sessions that allow students to immerse themselves in the company’s work and culture. Jonathan’s co-op experience involved hands-on structural analysis for spacecraft and launch vehicles, where he applied classroom knowledge, such as finite element analysis, to real-world projects. Connecting with the ATA team and gaining valuable technical knowledge eventually led Jonathan to a full-time position where he continues to work on impactful projects that fuel his passion.
This fall, throughout September and October, students can connect with ATA staff at various career fairs and recruitment events across the country. Don’t miss the chance to learn more about how ATA’s co-op program can be a vital stepping stone in your engineering career.
