Efficiently discover optimized designs and simulate liquid flows that include flow breakup with the newest features available in STAR-CCM+ 2020.3.
STAR-CCM+ 2020.3 has recently been released, offering a number of exciting new capabilities. In this webinar, we take a deeper dive into two such features.
- Adjoint optimization enables advanced shape optimization for all industries. Simcenter STAR-CCM+ provides a gradient based shape optimization solution. The technology is based on the discrete Adjoint technique making it a very efficient and accurate method for design optimization and sensitivity calculation.
- A new hybrid multiphase capability addresses the challenge of simulating columns of fluids that transition into sprays. The VOF to Lagrangian (VOF-LMP) resolved transition model is the latest piece in the hybrid multiphase jigsaw that reduces computational expense compared to a pure VOF simulation for applications such as fuel spray break-up or vehicle water management.
