Training to Empower Your Teams

Improve efficiency and drive innovation with the newest features in Simcenter 3D and Simcenter Nastran 2019.1

NX and Simcenter 3D 2019.1 and Simcenter Nastran 2019.1 were released in January 2019 and are now available at the GTAC downloads site. This free webinar, originally delivered by Jonathan Hill on April 4, 2019, takes a closer look at many of the new features and enhancements:

  • New imprint and split face options, plus the ability to create and import datum planes in the FEM
  • Improved robustness for Mesh Mating Conditions, mesh control across multiple edges, and the Face from Mesh command
  • Advancements in surface meshing that improve mesh quality and capture ridge lines, stamped depressions, and fillet chains and provide the option to generate a mesh directly from facet geometry
  • Automatic meshing of lattice structures for additive manufacturing components
  • Improved visual performance when interacting with large models, and accelerated assembly checks and updates
  • Post-processing improvements that allow for measuring between deformed coordinates and provide additional control over cutting planes, header information, and legend level spacing
  • More robust contact algorithms and controls, element capability extensions, and restart support for SOL 401 and 402

We’ll also cover the highlights of other new features:

  • New naming conventions and a shorter release cadence
  • Enhanced topology optimization and a new additive manufacturing process simulation
  • Expanded solutions such as the new transmission builder and aerostructures with composites
  • One-way coupling between STAR-CCM+ and Simcenter 3D for aeroacoustics and aerovibroacoustics
  • More accurate electrical cable analysis with Simcenter 3D Flexible Pipe
  • The addition of Specialist Durability and Correlation solutions previously in LMS Virtual.Lab

We invite you to attend this webinar to learn about all of this and more!
