The course is designed to teach Simcenter Nastran independent of pre- and post- processors. However, additional material is available for demonstration of use with Femap. It is intended for analysts who want to learn the details of how to perform static structural analysis using Simcenter Nastran.

The course covers the details of the structural analysis processes to define loads and boundary conditions, FEA model checking and solving, and interpreting the results. This course also covers Simcenter Nastran deck format, executive section, Case control, Output control, and common element uses and limitations.

This course does not cover any topics of Femap use. For information on Femap training options, please refer to our Introduction to Femap and Advanced Femap courses or contact ATA to discuss your custom training needs.
