A key part of the ATA culture is a love of learning, and sharing what we learn. As a student participating in our co-op program or engineering internships, you work alongside ATA team members on current projects. You gain valuable job skills and real-world experience by solving complex engineering problems. Our mentoring programs have been so successful that about 25% of our full-time employees started as co-op students or engineering interns.

HOW TO APPLY

ATA recruits the best engineering students from the top engineering schools around the country. We have a history of success working with co-op programs at the following schools:

  • Purdue University
  • Georgia Tech
  • University of Wisconsin, Madison
  • University of California, San Diego
  • University of Tennessee, Knoxville
  • University of Colorado, Boulder
  • Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
  • University of Texas, Austin

We look for students with proven academic success in the mechanical, aerospace, and structural engineering fields. We welcome students who are enthusiastic about solving difficult mechanical and aerospace structural and design challenges and problems.

Requirements:

  • Willing to commit to at least three alternating work sessions (quarters or semesters alternating between school and work)
  • Must be a US Person
  • Proven academic success in the mechanical, aerospace, and/or structural engineering fields

Compensation (2024):

  • Entry Level: $22.00–$40.00 per hour
  • Subsidized Housing (when applicable)
  • Relocation Assistance (when applicable)

HOW TO APPLY

If you are interested in applying for a summer internship, please submit your résumé, a copy of your college transcripts, and your US Person status to [email protected] between January 1 and February 28.

Requirements:

  • Proven academic success in the mechanical, aerospace, and/or structural engineering fields.
  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or other relevant engineering discipline, OR undergraduate within one year of graduation
  • Must be a US Person

Preferred:

  • Prior internship experience
