ATA Joins America Makes
SAN DIEGO, Calif., November 19, 2020 – ATA Engineering (ATA) is pleased to announce our membership with America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute. As the national accelerator for additive manufacturing (AM) and 3D printing (3DP), America Makes is the nation’s leading and collaborative partner in AM and 3DP technology research, discovery, creation, and innovation.
ATA joins over 220 members of American Makes, collaborating to leverage resources, knowledge, and costs to advance AM technologies, processes, and materials. Through its technology roadmap and government- and member-driven innovation calls, America Makes oversees a portfolio of research and development efforts to rapidly address industry challenges. Additionally, America Makes invests in technology transfer and workforce and educational development initiatives to ensure the success of the industry and advance the nation’s global AM competitiveness.

America Makes was formed in 2012 as the flagship institution of Manufacturing USA, the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation, whose goal is to coordinate public and private investment in emerging AM technologies. America Makes is headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio, and is managed and operated by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining.
