ATA Engineering Announces the Release of IMAT v7.9.0
Enhancements include support for importing of 64-bit OP2 files and SOL401 stress results, and the ability to multiply sets of functions together directly in a simple and straightforward operation.
SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 6, 2022 – ATA is excited to announce the release of version 7.9.0 of the IMAT family of software products. IMAT is a MATLAB toolbox designed for test and analysis engineers who process data from a variety of sources. This release brings a number of useful new enhancements to the powerful functionality available in IMAT.
ATA is committed to providing new IMAT releases in conjunction with new MATLAB releases. ATA Engineering designed IMAT v7.9.0 to work with MATLAB R2022a as well as previous releases back to R2018b. IMAT v7.9.0 also supports Abaqus 2022 and Femap 2022.1.
Notable IMAT Upgrades:
Access the precision of 64-bit files
In this release, IMAT’s Nastran import functionality, readnas, has been enhanced to keep pace with Nastran’s more recent solver output: you can now import results from 64-bit OP2 files. This enhancement opens up the ability to import results written from certain solve types (such as SOL402) and lets you take advantage of the precision they provide. This release also adds capabilities for importing your SOL401 stress results.
Notable IMAT+FEA Upgrades:
Simplify function multiplication
Don’t worry about function labeling and ordinate data types. You can now matrix multiply two imat_fn variables together, allowing you to multiply sets of functions together directly so you can avoid the intermediate steps of extracting your data into numeric matrices. This update makes it easier to work with transfer functions, along with many other uses.
