Enhancements include access to more model details, simplified shaker selection for multiple configurations, and more.
SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 11, 2018 – ATA is excited to announce the release of version 7.1.0 of the IMAT family of software products. IMAT is a MATLAB toolbox designed for test and analysis engineers who process data from a variety of sources. This release brings a number of useful new enhancements to the powerful functionality available in IMAT.
ATA is committed to providing new IMAT releases in conjunction with new MATLAB releases. ATA Engineering designed IMAT v7.1.0 to work with MATLAB R2018a as well as previous releases back to R2015a.
Notable IMAT Upgrades:
IMAT’s readnas function has been updated to import and store additional element-type-specific details of your models (stored in the imat_elem data type), saving you the trouble of processing this information separately. Additionally, imat_node now stores an entity type property so you can easily distinguish GRIDs and SPOINTs.
Notable IMAT+Modal Upgrades:
IMAT+Modal’s report_tam_xls and report_text_xls functions output directly to Excel and use improved formatting so you can quickly view and visually evaluate your mode shape comparisons for quality checks.
Also, you no longer have to spend time consolidating shaker location results for several configurations—IMAT+Modal’s shaker_locator can now evaluate several configurations at once and provide a single location set that achieves your goals, reducing or eliminating the need for shaker movements during the test.
Notable IMAT+Signal Upgrades:
Enhancements to IMAT+Signal’s psd and csd functions include greater flexibility in processing power spectral densities and cross spectral densities.
