Enhancements include productivity-enhancing functions, simplified overlap processing, and more.
SAN DIEGO, Calif., October 4, 2017 — ATA is excited to announce the release of version 7.0.0 of the IMAT family of software products. IMAT is a MATLAB interface designed for test and analysis engineers who work with large engineering data sets. This release brings a number of exciting new enhancements to the powerful functionality available in IMAT.
ATA is committed to providing new IMAT releases in conjunction with new MATLAB releases. ATA Engineering designed IMAT v7.0.0 to work with MATLAB R2017b as well as previous releases back to R2015a.
Notable IMAT Upgrades:
IMAT’s new create_default_fn takes the guesswork out of setting function properties for your matrix functions, helpfully selecting and setting the necessary imat_fn attributes for you, thus eliminating uncertainty and the need to dig through documentation. Another new IMAT function, calc_energy_fractions, offers a convenient way to use strain and kinetic energy fractions to assess the modal participation of different parts of your model, saving you time and effort during test preparation and model correlation.
Notable IMAT+FEA Upgrades:
Customize the look of your FEM and results display. In VTKPLOT, node and element labels can now be resized programmatically, giving you greater control over the look of your FEM and results display.
IMAT+FEA’s updated readnas function now supports several recently added Nastran 11 data blocks. The power user can also access results data directly from Nastran OP2 files in its native format using parseop2table_raw2nas without the need for any data manipulation or extra steps.
Notable IMAT+Signal Upgrades:
Enhancements to imat_fn offer an easier way to specify an overlap percentage when processing PSDs and CSDs. No more working out the number of averages to use to achieve the amount of overlap desired; IMAT’s psd and csd methods now let you simply specify the percentage directly.
