ATA Engineering Announces the Release of IMAT v6.2.0

Enhancements include expanded filtering capabilities, updated Nastran data type support, and more.

SAN DIEGO, Calif., October 4, 2016 — ATA is excited to announce the release of version 6.2.0 of the IMAT family of software products. IMAT is a MATLAB interface designed for test and analysis engineers who work with large engineering data sets. This release brings a number of exciting new enhancements to the powerful functionality available in IMAT.

ATA is committed to providing new IMAT releases in conjunction with new MATLAB releases. ATA Engineering designed IMAT v6.2.0 to work with MATLAB R2016b as well as previous releases back to R2014b.

Notable IMAT Upgrades:

Filter your results with ease—no matter what type of data. Enhancements to imat_filt extend IMAT’s advanced selection capabilities beyond function results to shapes and more. The advanced selection capabilities of IMAT’s imat_filt have been extended beyond function results to shapes and other user-specified data types, simplifying the task of extracting results by your chosen criteria.

Notable IMAT+FEA Upgrades:

The entityids flag in readnas can now be used for more OP2 function results for faster import processing, letting you import a defined subset of results from larger files to speed processing and reduce memory requirements, so you never have to worry about requesting only the necessary results from Nastran the first time. This useful improvement can now be applied to even more OP2 result types.

New readnas capabilities also keep you up to date with support for NX Nastran v10 results data types. Stay up to date with the ability to read NX Nastran version 10 data types. Enhancements to readnas allow you to take advantage of recently introduced OP2 and PCH result formats.

NX Nastran version 10 data types are now supported.

Notable IMAT+Modal Upgrades:

Convenient identification of coordinate systems in IMAT+Modal’s MTK gives you greater confidence in your use of shaker_locator data. Avoid the extra step of determining the coordinate system implied by your input; IMAT+Modal’s MTK now conveniently identifies the coordinate system in shaker_locator output, letting you use the results with confidence.
