ATA Engineering Announces the Release of IMAT v6.1.0

Enhancements include simplified results partitioning, improved FRF estimation, and more

SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 12, 2016 — ATA is excited to announce the release of version 6.1.0 of the IMAT family of software products. IMAT is a MATLAB interface designed for test and analysis engineers who work with large engineering data sets. This release brings a number of exciting new enhancements to the powerful functionality available in IMAT.

ATA is committed to providing new IMAT releases in conjunction with new MATLAB releases. ATA Engineering designed IMAT v6.1.0 to work with MATLAB R2016a as well as previous releases back to R2012b.

Notable IMAT Upgrades:

Enhancements to imat_result simplify the process of extracting and working with particular results from your stored data, cutting down the number of steps involved in extracting only the results you need and offering more intuitive ways to access and modify those results.

Added example functions let you export additional types of Nastran bulk data: IMAT has added several new functions to its examples directory, offering greater capability to import, modify, and export more types of Nastran data, including the ability to export matrices to DMIG format or MPC cards, and more.

Notable IMAT+Signal Upgrades:

New singular value decomposition (SVD) method in IMAT+Signal offers more accurate frequency response function (FRF) estimates. For cases when your test does not accurately measure the reference signal, IMAT+Signal now includes an SVD-based method to estimate FRFs, improving your measurement quality.

Notable IMAT+Modal Upgrades:

Convenient access to self-orthogonality matrices in MTK gives you a new way to evaluate your test analysis model. MTK now conveniently calculates self-orthogonality matrices from the analysis shapes and reports the results in report_tam_xml for easy viewing, giving you yet another metric for evaluating your test analysis model and letting you gain confidence that your test completion requirements can be achieved.

IMAT4XL Update:

IMAT4XL, the convenient stand-alone graphical user interface that leverages IMAT’s capabilities to provide a bidirectional link between MATLAB and Microsoft Excel, has been updated to utilize the current release of IMAT.
